Vineet Rai is the Founder CEO & Managing Director of Aavishkaar Intellecap group and chairs its Group Executive Council.

He has over 18 years of experience in early stage investing, small business incubation, and microfinance.

He is also the co-founder and Chairman of the Intellecap Group of companies. Vineet with his experience and expertise in venture capital, micro enterprises, microfinance investments, incubations and social investment advisory has led the setting up of Aavishkaar I and II and Aavishkaar Goodwell I & II funds.

Considered as a pioneer in the Impact investment space, Vineet’s philosophy has been to build the entire ecosystem for Impact Investing rather than just financial products and tools.

In line with his vision, Aavishkaar–Intellecap Group comprises

  • Aavishkaar – the ground breaking Impact Investment Fund Manager,
  • Arohan – a Microfinance Institution,
  • IntelleGrow – a Venture Debt Company, and

He holds a Post-Graduate diploma in Forestry Management from Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal.

Vineet recently featured on the cover of Forbes India, January 2018 issue. Paul Polman, CEO of Unilever endorsed Aavishkaar Intellecap Group for its efforts in furthering inclusive development.

Vineet also serves as Commissioner at the Business Commission for Sustainable Development, as Senior Advisor to Blended Finance Working Group at OECD and as an Advisor to United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific Science Technology and Innovation Advisory Board.

Driving on Indian roads is one of his passions and he tries to cover 50,000 KM every year.
