Rachna Chawla, Director & Head – YSC India
Rachna started her career in investment banking and management consulting before transitioning to leadership strategy.
In this short video, Rachna talks about what practices have helped her be absolutely transparent and authentic with all the stakeholders and yet not lose out on caring, empathy and fairness.
In the last 15 years as a leadership coach and change facilitator she has designed & delivered assignments across sectors including banking, consulting, education, energy, engineering, FMCG, IT, telecom and the social sector and across geographies/ nationalities including India, Pakistan, the Middle East, North Africa, Russia, Singapore and Europe.
Rachna heads the India business of YSC, a premier leadership consultancy, working in the area of Leadership Strategy, CEO & Board Advisory, Leadership Performance, Leadership Analytics and Organisational Leadership.
Rachna draws on her experience to delve into leadership transitions and challenges. Her key focus areas are management of change and navigating transitions. She previously led a high value teaming and personal growth program for organisations, taught leadership and change management at a business school and at a leadership workshop for leaders of small enterprise.
Working with women and organisations to enable flexible working opportunities is another passion.
Rachna’s interest and approach to individual development and personal and organisational leadership has been influenced by her work at the Sumedhas Academy for Human Context, where she is a Fellow.
Rachna has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, India and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (honours), Delhi University. She is a Board Certified Coach (BCC) from the Centre for Credentialing & Education, Inc. (CCE) and qualified faculty & coach from the Centre for Creative Leadership.
She is on the Board of RAHI Foundation, a not for profit working towards Awareness, education, prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and recovery of victims of CSA .
Beyond coaching, Rachna is inspired by music, nature and the outdoors. She is an avid reader, experimental (read amateur) writer and poet, enjoys travelling, her plants and her pet. Remote parenting two independent minded young adults and working with women’s issues take up her time outside work.
