Gagan retired as CEO from Jones Lang LaSalle India in March 2017, a post she held for 10 years. Gagan joined JLL in 2007, to oversee the integration of the merger of Jones Lang LaSalle with Meghraj which created India’s largest real estate services firm. Currently, Gagan is an Independent Director on the boards of Timex Group and Future Retail Ltd. and heads the Audit Committees of both the Companies. She is also a consultant to Anuj Puri’s Anarock Property Services Pvt. Ltd.
She is a trustee of Salaam Baalak Trust since 1999; SBT is a NGO, working with street and working children and is also the founding Vice President of Youthreach, an NGO.
Gagan is a general management expert with many years of country leadership experience. She has consistently achieved success in reviving businesses that are in trouble or need to scale up through better processes and rhythm. Her USP is in managing to make dysfunctional teams work better together.
Gagan started JLL’s SriLanka business in 2011 and led it successfully for 5 years. She also set up JLL’s SEZ Shared Service Operations 2012 which is now poised to grow to a 1500 headcount by 2019.
She also led JLL’s Strategic Consulting, Hotels Advisory business as well as Human Resources and Legal functions. She initiated and led the CSR and Diversity & Inclusion agendas for India and implemented the Ethics program.
A CA and a Cost Accountant, Gagan has over 30 years of experience across the apparel, exports and hospitality sectors. Prior to JLL, Gagan was with Benetton India for over 6 years as Executive Director, and CEO from 2005.
Gagan is a passionate, accomplished theatre actor and enjoys interior design & travel.
